Lucie Howard AATQB, MAAT Accountant/Managing Director
Lucie is the founder and Managing Director of LEO Bookkeeping Services. She was a primary teacher for 14 years before a career change to accounting in 2016. This came about from enjoying doing the bookkeeping for her children's Pre-School and the desire to work more flexibly to spend more time with her family. Lucie is fully AAT qualified and is an AAT Registered Accountant. She has implemented the use of Xero across the firm and is a Xero specialist.
Explaining tax and accountacy procedures in laymans terms and making sure clients understand their accounts.

Outside of Work
Lucie is married to Chris and they have two children. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a member of Olney Runners.
Lucie runs Lavendon Pavilion Preschool with 2 other trustees.
Michelle Ramsden Bookkeeper
Michelle graduated from the University of Lancashire in 1994 with a degree in Hospitality Management
She then spent 28 years in Hospitality Management, managing kitchen & restaurants in the early years, and then 20 years continued service with Greene King plc managing pubs. She chose to retire from the industry in 2018 and have since taken on a number of voluntary roles within the community.
She started working at LEO Bookkeeping Services in December 2018, with some part-time admin duties, whilst studying for the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting Level 2. As LEO Bookkeeping Services evolved and took on more clients, she became more involved with the bookkeeping aspect of the job, which was helped by achieving a distinction in the level 2 exams. She also completed Level 3 in November 2020 and now has the AATQB qualification and completed the Level 4 Module for Self Assessment Tax returns. Michelle is currently working towards Drafting Financial Statements and Corporation Tax returns for limited companies which is a level 4 Module.

Outside of Work
Michelle is married and has a son. She enjoys spending time with her family enjoying the outdoors and travelling around the UK to her son's streetdance competitions.
She is a member of the Olney runners committee, and regularly runs with the club and takes part in running events such as park runs and half marathons.
She is also a parish councillor for Lavendon Parish Council. She lives in the village and is currently part of a village group who are organise village events. She is also a co-opted governor for the village school.
Helena Brookes Virtual Assistant
After studying law and working in customer service management, Helena moved from the shop floor to client management within an outsourced service provider. After many years in the field, Helena decided to set up her own business, Woodley Business Services. Providing PA, secretarial and admin assistance to small businesses. This led to completing her AAT level 2 in Accountancy to better help her clients with recent changes to Making Tax Digital and integrations to other cloud-based services. She has now started AAT Level 3.
Helena has also previously worked as a Trustee of a sports-based charity, ran a family-owned electrical consultancy company and worked with a number of social and charitable causes.

Outside of Work
Helena can normally be found walking her dogs in a wood somewhere, going on mini-adventures with her daughter or cooking dinner for friends and family.
Charlotte Baron Admin Assistant
Charlotte studied Health care at Northampton College. She runs a befriending and domestic help for the elderly and vulnerable service in Olney. Charlotte spent 5 years in stock and systems reconciliation before becoming a baby and preschool swimming teacher. Charlotte's decision to work within accounting came from an enjoyment of digging into accounts and investigations as part of the system reconciliation process and found it to be satisfying and enjoyed getting to the root cause of any discrepancies.
Charlotte started her own business in April 2020 when she took over Silver Smiles, which offers befriending and domestic assistance to the elderly in their homes. She also works part time and on ADHOC basis for a couple of local businesses in Lavendon.
She started working at LEO Bookkeeping Services in December 2019.
Outside of Work
Charlotte is married to Luke and they have 2 children together. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves being outside and going on family caravan holidays to see more. She also likes going on long walks around countryside locations.
